    BEST tour EVER!!!

For our first trip to Greece, my family opted for a full one-day tour of Ancient Athens. We research all our trips well in advance and had the good fortunate of getting a referral for Marialena! We were able to correspond with her and work out all the details of our tour, including making it interesting for our 13 year old. She did not disappoint! Marialena was also very accommodating when we suggested meeting even earlier the day before our tour, due to the heat. She was lovely, very knowledgeable and really made the tour super interesting! Despite the heat soaring in the low 100's we had a very entertaining tour, took small breaks, a great lunch, and learned so much! Highly recommend Marialena!!!

    “Great Insight, Very Knowledgeable”

My Fiance' and I were leaving on a cruise with two nights in Greece and just by pure coincidence arranged a walking tour of the city center from an advertisement on the front of a map. We met up with Marialena at a local metro stop after booking the tour. Luckily we were the only ones in the group that day so the approximately four hours we spent with Marialena was very intimate and she spent a considerable amount of time telling us various details of the sites we walked through. Stops included areas around the Acropolis, various churches, a Roman forum, a stop for Greek coffee, the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier, a walk through the national gardens and a talk outside the Temple of Zeus. Marialena, who is also an archaeologist, was very knowledgeable on everywhere we stopped and provided great insight. This really was one of our best tours ever and we highly recommend it.

    “Acropolis Visit”

Attention to detail was the standard of the guide. Everything was thought of in advance and made easy. We learned a lot about Greece. The guide was like a college professor of history and architecture combined. She was also very gentle and considerate with children. The best!

    “Wonderful experience in Athens”

Marialena was so helpful on our recent trip this summer in July to Athens. Before arriving she provided us with so much general information . When we arrived she planed an amazing day which avoided the heat and crowds as much as possible. Her historical and archeological knowledge was amazing and she was able to really give us an insightful interesting perspective on Greece which we will never forget. For the days we were on our own she also provided us with great advise based upon what we wanted to accomplish. My wife and myself highly recommend Marialena to make your trip a great one.

    IMG_4377Incredible tour guide!

Marialena Christopoulou gave our two families an awesome tour of the Acropolis this past July. Marialena is very well-educated and knowledgeable as well as being a very good speaker and story-teller and a lovely person. She was so good, even our teenagers listened the whole time! We enjoyed the tour so much that we had Marialena take us on a tour of the National Archeology Museum two weeks later. We would not hesitate to recommend Marialena.

14141518_10210621502199522_3659247944778860354_nYou haven't seen Athens until you've seen in through Marialena's eyes!

My wife and 12-year-old daughter and I visited Athens in late August 2016 from New York City. We spent the better part of a day with Marialena, touring the Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Agora, the Acropolis and the Plaka district of the city. Marialena knows her stuff — she's got a bachelor's in archaeology from a university in Athens and a masters in site preservation from a university in Italy — and her enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, her city, her country and the history of both are palpable and infectious. We could not have seen ancient Athens through better eyes. My daughter was mesmerized by Marialena's narrative and the context in which she placed everything we saw. So were my wife and I. You could not find a better guide to Athens. (Her English is superb, by the way). Highly recommended!
